This site can be a very useful tool in finding the information you need, anywhere from State License Requirements to posting your resume through job board. This is designed to give you instructions on how to get to the information you are seeking. Continuing Education

    When wanting to view or sign up for continuing education classes there are a few steps you need to take.
  • View the state license requirements:
    • If you don’t know your state license requirements you can get that along with state telephone numbers and addresses.
    • To get there:
      • Go to the home page
          You can get there by clicking on the word "HOME" at the top left hand side of the page.
      • On the left side of the page you will see a list of topics
      • State License Information will be the fifth topic down
      • When you click on the link it will take you to a page with a list of states
      • Scroll down until you find your state.
            When scrolling down the list you may notice that some states have the word "pending" next to them, this means that the state is in the process of reviewing our material.
      • Locate your state in the list
      • Click on the state's name (that is the link)
      • This will take you to a page that has all the continuing education and financial requirements for your state.
    • For your convenience we have also listed all the contact information you need for your state.

  • View the continuing education courses available
    • Go to the home page
        You can get there by clicking on the word "HOME" at the top left hand side of the page.
    • Click on the third topic titled "Course Catalog".
    • Doing this will bring you to page called "New-Course-Catalog".
    • Notice on the right side of the page there is a box titled "Categories".
    • Click on the second link in the box labeled Continuing Education.
    • This will bring you to a page titled "Continuing Education Packages".
    • On the left hand side of the page you should see two drop down boxes
        The first labeled “Your State” and the other labeled “Your License”.
    • By clicking on the down arrow you will need to choose the state that you want to get continuing education credits for
    • Clicking the second will allow you to choose your license type.
  • Once you have the correct state and license chosen:
    • Click on the square button titled “show me”.
    • Now you will see on the right side of the page a box with a blue boarder labeled “Available Courses”.
    • This box will show you course titles and prices,
  • To view course descriptions and how many Continuing Education credits the course gives
    • Put your curser over the course title and click on it.
    • This gives you all of the information about the course so that you can determine if it is the class you want to take.

Buying Courses

Once you have decided on what courses you would like to take the next step is to purchase them.
  • Purchase the course
    • You will need to click on the “buy” button next to the course title.
    • You will be navigated to a new page titled “your shopping cart”
    • On this page you have two options:
      • Continue shopping to add more courses to your shopping cart
      • Check out.
    • Once you are ready to check out:
      • Pay close attention to what you are about to buy.
        • This page will give you the course title
        • Your total price
        • How many continuing education credits the course offers.
      • If you choose a course that you decide you don’t want
        • Click on the little trash can icon under the delete column
        • Make sure to do this only by the course/courses that you don’t want
      • When you are finished making sure you have the correct courses
        • Click on the button titled “Check Out”
            This can be found below your selected courses.
        • This will take you to a page asking you some questions.
          • If you are a new student please
            • Click on the new student option
            • Now click on continue.
            • If you are a new student you do not have to fill out your e-mail address and password on this particular page.
            • Once you click on continue
            • You will be directed to a page asking for your information.
                This is totally confidential and strictly for our records
                (You are in the secure section of the Mortgage-Education.com ).
            • Please follow the instructions and when you are finished click on the submit button.
          • If you are a returning student
            • You can put your email and password in
            • It will take you to your current account.
        • Next you are directed to the registration page.
        • Please read the terms and conditions thoroughly.
        • Click on “pay with my credit card”.
        • The following information will be processed by VeriSign:
          • Your credit card number.
          • The expiration date (No Spaces).
          • Click on “complete your order” to finish purchasing the class.

To Login

Once you have purchased your course and are ready to login go to the home page.

  • On the left hand side you will see a list of titles
  • Click on the fourth title labeled "Student Login".
  • It will take you to a page asking for your e-mail address and password.
    • (Remember that these are case sensitive)
    • Please be sure to type them in the same way you did when you registered.

Taking Your Course

Once you login you will come to your “My Classes or Welcome Page”.

  • Make sure that the name at the top of the screen is yours.

  • View your courses:
    • To the right of your screen
    • Scroll down and you will see your courses.
    • Click on the title of the first section
    • It will take you to your course.
    • You will be taken to the First page describing the course,
      • It will tell you how many Lessons are in that course.
      • It will tell you how many questions are on the Quiz.
    • You will need to put your Curser on the Lesson Title and click your mouse.
    • You will be directed to the actual Lesson page

  • Using the video:
      Viewing the video:
      • The video and audio will start playing automatically after a few seconds for those with a high speed internet connection
      • It may take longer if you are using a “dial- up connection to the Internet
    • Using the video options
      • These options will allow you to manipulate the video to your needs, just click on the option desired.
      • “Stop,” , “Start,”, “Pause,”, “Fast Forward” are the options available
      • Simply put your Curser on the Bottom of the Video, on a particular option and click to control the video.

  • Printing Documents:
    • These are documents that that each student will need to follow along with the Instructor.
    • Print All of the documents
      • Located on the Gateway Page under the Quiz Link, This page is the Page that lists all your Lessons.
    • Individually printing the documents:
      • Scroll the page just a little
      • See the Same Documents listed Individually
      • Click on the title of the Document (this is the link)
      • Acrobat Reader software (See Required Software On "My Courses/Welcome Page" ) will open the document.
      • Click “print” from inside the Adobe Acrobat Reader's browser.
      • You will need to do this on each document listed in the Box Marked "Course/Supplement Documents".
      • Always start with the first course and work your way down to ensure a complete set of documents.

Time, Limits and Extensions

Your courses will expire if they are not completed during the limit that is set.

  • Expiration Date:
    • View your expiration date.
      • The information is listed right after the title of each section.
    • You need to complete the course and all testing within this time period or your courses will expire.
    • Once your courses have expired, you are able to extend them for a fee of $25.00.
    • Depending on what course you are taking will depend on the extension period.
  • Timer:
    • Updating your timer: (Please pay attention to your clock!)
      • Every 10 minutes the text will disappear. (5 minutes for North Carolina Students)
      • It will ask you if you would like to update your time
      • Make sure to click “okay” for this is how we keep up with your time.
      • The time will be updated to our site only when you leave this page, not every 10 minutes.
    • Viewing your timer: (You can see how much time you have completed for the whole course).
      • Where
        • On your "My Courses/Welcome Page"
        • Right below your name
        • The top left hand side of the page
      • Find how much time you have spent in an individual lesson
        • You will need to go into the lesson
        • Scroll down until you get to a box labeled "course statistics"
        • Inside this box it will inform you of your individual lesson time.
        • Click here for help with the timer

    For your convenience this site is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, it is up to you to determine your own schedule.
    You don’t have to take your course all in one sitting or at the same computer.
    Once you log off your information is saved until the next time you log on.

Testing

You will have quizzes and a final exam, the number of these tests is determined by the courses that you are taking.

  • Quizzes
    • After every section you finish you will notice that the last link on your lesson page will say “Quiz”.
    • The quiz is multiple-choice and true or false
    • You must score an 80% above to pass.
      • If you don’t score high enough please review the material again and retake the quiz.
      • You can retake as many times that is necessary to score high enough.
    • Once you have completed your entire course and have passed all the quizzes you will need to take your final exam.
  • The Final exam
    • Access
      • Located on the “My Courses or Welcome Page”
      • Below the list of courses
      • On the right hand side of the page
    • Please also take note that if you are taking the courses for Continuing Education, College Credit, or State certification the Time Required to be in the courses is given to you in the Final exam box for each package or Section before the Final Exam will open.
    • Please make sure that you are well prepared to take your final, and remember you can take notes to refer to so it’s like having an open book test.

Materials Needed

There are certain things you will need to take this course.

  • Necessary Programs
    • You will need to always enter our site using Internet explorer as your Browser.
    • You will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 (click to download) After installing Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0, open it and click "help" and then click "check for updates" to download the latest updates.
    • Windows Media Player should also be installed on your computer.
      Once you log in, we have links to download all of these programs if you do not have them.
  • You can’t print anything off of this website other than the supplemental documents which you can print out as you go along or download all of them at once into you computer.

Certificates

  • For Credit
    • If you are taking the courses for Continuing Education Credit, College Credit, or a State Certification and you complete your final exam and pass; you will want your certificate.
    • You can print your certificate from the "Welcome Page" if we have certain documents that you are supposed to provide.
      • Affidavit of Identity
        • Fax us a copy of your notarized Affidavit of Identity
        • (If you have not yet sent your Affidavit of Identity, please click here. )
        • Check to see if we have received your Affidavit of Identity
          • Log in.
            • Once you log in to your "My Courses/Welcome Page", if you see a gray box outlined in red titled “required documentation” under your name, this will tell you that we have not gotten that information from you.
            • We absolutely will not send you a certificate if you don’t send this information in.
            • It is best to send this into us at the beginning of your course so that once you pass your final we have it on hand and we can send your certificate.
      • Proctor Agreements:
      • You can print your certificate from the "Welcome Page":
        • Once you have completed your course, including time required, quizzes and final exam, and after review by Mortage-Education.com staff, your printable version of your "Certificate of Completion" (state ready) will be available within 24 to 48 hours from the final exam being completed. Be sure to send Affidavit of Identity and (Proctor Agreement LA and MT only) A.S.A.P. These forms must be received before the certificate can be made available for access.
  • Not for credit
    • If you are not taking these courses for Continuing Education Credit or State Certifications of any Kind.
      • You can print your certificate from the "Welcome Page":
        • Once you have completed your course a printable version of your "Certificate of Completion" will be available immediately.

Email

  • Email Access
    • WORKING EMAIL ADDRESS
      • You must set up your account with a working email account because we communicate with you using email.
      • If you use a non-working email address you will not automatically get your exam results and your completion certificate.
      • You cannot use someone else's email address. If that person has an account with mortgage-education.com your initial enrollment will be denied and your account cannot be accessed.
    • Change your email address:
      • Once you are in your courses and want to change your email address you may
      • Click on "Account Information" after you login to your courses.
